The investment
SuperAwesome’s cloud-based platform and safe social media products enable brand owners to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA) and GDPR legislation in the United States and European Union respectively. Mayfair’s investment in 2017 gave the business and its entrepreneurial leadership team the backing it needed to invest in new product development and to expand into new markets. SuperAwesome was sold to Epic Games in September 2020.
Our partnership
Mayfair supported the business in several areas including:
- Providing strategic guidance and financial backing to maximise global expansion opportunities, enabling SuperAwesome to extend its reach in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America through targeted investments and strategic partnerships.
- Supporting the development and launch of new products, including Rukkaz, an innovative video-streaming platform designed exclusively for 7-12 year-olds and family-content creators.
“Mayfair brings more than capital to the table. They bring a range of perspectives, skills and experiences that have been invaluable to our business, making a very positive impact on our growth trajectory.”
Dylan Collins, CEO of SuperAwesome
