The Mayfair team has spent more than a decade investing in leading tech and consumer businesses with an investment philosophy that is centered on being a good partner to exceptional management teams.

Ethos

We back people rather than simply buying assets. We favour partnership over control and we look to support management teams whilst providing them with access to capabilities which can help them deliver their plans faster, or with less risk.

We only invest where we believe we can add real value. Both the investment model we have built and the team we have assembled are geared entirely towards supporting management to optimise performance and accelerate growth.

Active Partnerships

We aim to be a high-value partner to the teams that we back. As part of our commitment to being an Active Partner, we work hard to support teams inside and outside the Board environment.

We have built a team of Specialists who are experts in delivering business process improvements across a range of functions. They are available for free as part of our commitment to being a dedicated high-value Active Partner.

Origins

Mayfair was founded in 2014 by our four founding Partners who have a shared passion for growth investing. From humble beginnings at a kitchen table, Mayfair now has over £2 billion of assets under management. We are fast, nimble and entrepreneurial, with a deep understanding of what it’s like to start a business with nothing but an idea and a blank sheet of paper. We are wholly owned by our Partners, who also constitute our Investment Committee.

Our People

Our close-knit and diverse team includes people from a range of backgrounds and cultures – the Mayfair team speaks more than a dozen languages. We also share a number of common characteristics. We pride ourselves on our intellectual curiosity, our ambition and commitment to deliver for our portfolio and management teams.

Responsible investing

We are committed to investing responsibly and have a high standard of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles embedded within our business and our investment approach.

We’re a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) and we are exceptionally proud to have been recognised for our award winning achievements in this area.

As a responsible investor, we also work in partnership with management teams to ensure these principles are embedded in our portfolio companies. This also helps to reduce risk and enhance long-term value creation.
